Beautiful Bruny Island Adventure
- Duration: 10 Hours (approx.)
- Location: North Bruny
- Product code: PCD4EQ
Bruny Island is close to nipaluna/Hobart yet feels a world away as you cross the D’Entrecasteaux Channel on the ferry. This island provides the ultimate wilderness experience with spectacular sea cliffs, long beaches, tranquil waterways, and national parks. It’s home to fairy penguins, albatross, fur seals, and the rare white wallaby. It’s also known as a foodie paradise with freshly shucked oysters, artisan cheese, fudge, whisky, and wine.
We head to the southern point of the island to reveal the dramatic coastline and see a heritage-listed lighthouse built in 1836. We'll stop for lunch before heading to the beautiful Adventure Bay. Check out the incredible views from the top of The Neck Lookout. Discover the history of explorers who have ventured to the island at the privately run Bligh Museum. If there’s time, take a stroll along the tranquil beach. On the way back to the ferry we call in to Get Shucked to sample sustainably cultivated plump oysters from the nearby pristine waters.
